Allow me to Re-Introduce Myself
Hi my name is…. (chickachicka Slim Shady?) I wanted to take some time to re-introduce myself! I’m Marshel, content creator, photographer, and marketing extrodinaire (none of these are my actual job title just what I do for the blog, you can read more about me here) If you’ve been tracking the blog and following me on Instagram (@betweenyounmeblog) then you would know that on March 6th I announced that the blog was under construction.
Initially, I thought I would just be a few nips and tucks, but it ended up turning into full reconstructive surgery (how LA of me?) and I couldnt be happier. I really took this time to work on my content, nail down a more realistic posting schedule, practice my photography, and study more.
Blogging is a skill like any other and as such It takes patience, practice, and many drafts. The blog was missing something, it felt incomplete, so I took some time to mull it over and here’s the result. A cleaner and more user friendly aesthetic and my absolute favorite new logo. I tried a many times, painfully to create my own logo and I was not loving it, at all.
The decision to have a logo created was not a hard one to make. What was hard, was finding someone who embodies what I was looking for. Have you ever had to describe something that you didn’t know you wanted? Yeah… that way. It was so challenging. I had a vision, in my mind, but couldn’t formulate into words. Until, I found justArtinAround on Etsy. She is beeeeyyyoond exceptional.
So, I now have a bangin ass logo, and sleek and modern theme, and pretty good content (if I do say so myself!). So that was it right? Not too much else to do right? I challenged myself to dedicate more time to my photography. I realize that I am drawn to clean and crisp photography, and thought yall might be too?
The verdict, is yes. Have you seen Instagram? It’s literally a living photo album, so I had some work to do. I took more time, planned, and practiced, practiced, practiced.
So this is it. I lay it all bare for you to see, read, and feel. I hope that you take some time and enjoy it, I know I do!
